Anthea Adams is a fourth-generation dog enthusiast, born and raised in the world of dog showing and breeding. Growing up surrounded by Cocker Spaniels, English Setters, and later Golden Retrievers, Anthea developed a deep passion for dogs from an early age, helping whelp her first litter at just 8 years old.
Her journey in the show ring started with Junior Handlers and led to the development of her own successful Golden Retriever lines, including bringing the first American import Golden Retriever into Australia in 1997. Since then, Anthea has introduced several American Goldens to the show scene, achieving numerous awards across owned and bred dogs under local, interstate, and international judges.
With a strong family background in judging — her grandfather an International All Breeds Judge and her mother a Gundog Judge — Anthea proudly continues the tradition. She is currently a licensed Championship Show Judge for multiple groups and continues to travel locally and overseas to judge and show alongside her partner Duncan, an All Breeds Judge.
Passionate and knowledgeable, Anthea is committed to the future of the breeds she loves and the sport that has shaped her life.
Our proudest moment was when we had a dog of ours go overseas with her family, and travel so well and she visited 17 countries with her family so calmly. They have a brilliant Instagram following with stunning photos, and thanked me for breeding the incredible temperament to cope. As a breeder it’s always what you want in your breeding program.
Our pups and adults are never without Stance PetTec Stay Active 4 Dogs and I also add into the adult food Stance PetTec Tumericle. I find these 2 products work best with the dogs and pups. I love the fact that it is a powder form, there are not many supplements for dogs that are currently powders, so I find it’s easy to mix through their dinners.
